History contributes to this sanctuary which was the original library of the mayor who built the home, complete with impressive book-lined walls, magnificent stone fireplace and the original dumb-waiter which ascended from the dining room to serve Mayor Martin his port! Character and elegance exude from this room at our B&B in Monterey, which boasts a private copper detailed terrace overlooking the gardens; the only balcony in the home. An impressive stone fireplace at the foot of the handsomely decorated king sized down bed is set in front of original English paned windows. The vintage tiled tub and shower combination in the private bathroom add to the obvious character of this stately room at our Monterey, CA bed & breakfast.
