General Policies

Rates Include:

  • A full gourmet breakfast each morning at 9:00 a.m.
  • Daily Wine Hors d’Oeuvres 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Complimentary Wine and Beverages
  • Parking Onsite
  • Internet/Wi-Fi

Check In & Check Out:

  • Check-in is between 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Check-out is noon.
  • Late arrivals by arrangement after 7:00 p.m.

Deposits & Cancellations:

We accept Visa, MasterCard or a personal check to confirm a reservation. A payment of the first night’s lodging is due at the time of booking.

A full refund of the reservation deposit will be provided for cancellations made at least fourteen (14) days prior to your scheduled arrival date.

A 10% processing fee will apply to cancellations made within the fourteen (14) days leading up to your arrival date.

Guests will be charged the full amount of the reservation if they cancel within 72 hours of their scheduled arrival date.

Should any room subsequently be resold, a refund of those monies will be made.

A two-night minimum stay is required on most weekends, and three-night minimum stays are required for holiday and special event periods. Exceptions may be made for last-minute reservations.

Maximum Occupancy:

Each of our rooms has a 2-person maximum occupancy. Our elegant Monterey inn is best suited for couples or single travelers. Our historic inn is not well-suited for children.

Guest Responsibilities:

Guests will be responsible for any damages, theft or lost revenue that is caused by them while staying at Old Monterey Inn.

Damage and Incidental Fee:

Please help us protect and preserve the house of Old Monterey Inn. The damages will be documented and guests will be notified.

Any damage inside or outside of the property will be charged on the credit card on file.

As stewards of this 1929 heritage estate, we kindly ask guests to treat the property with care. A refundable incidental hold of $300.00 per night may apply during your stay.

If the damage is severe, we will provide guests with a quotation for the cost associated with the damages the guest has incurred.

Pets:

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets at our property.

Smoking:

Our lodging in Monterey, CA is a Smoke-Free Property.
